Portrait artist Tim Liddle was born and
raised in Nashville, Tennessee. A strong art student through
his early years,
he went on to graduate from Lipscomb University with Bachelor
of Fine Arts degree, becoming proficient in oil portraiture.
While at the University, Tim studied under
Dawn
Whitelaw.
Dawn's awards include Best of Show at
The
Portrait Society of America's International competition
and the Award of Excellence in the Oil Painter's of America
exhibition in
2002.
Tim has been painting fine art portraits in oil for corporate
and private clients for over 20 years. He regularly attends
workshops with well-known artists such as
Michael
Shane Neal, a member of the historic
National
Arts Club, the
Allied Artist Artists of America, and the Artist Fellowship
of New York.
Through his use of form, color and brushwork, Tim has honed
his distinctive style to capture the intricacies and personality
of his various subjects. His portraits are considered heirlooms,
a lasting tribute to be passed down through the generations.
Currently Tim works in his studio located in Brentwood,
Tennessee (Nashville area) and is available to accept portrait
commissions for individuals, corporate/executive and families.
