Tim Liddle was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee. A strong art student through his early years, he went on to graduate from Lipscomb University with Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, becoming proficient in oil and watercolors. He has been painting landscapes, still lifes and figures for over 29 years and regularly attends workshops with well-known artists such as Michael Shane Neal and Dawn Whitelaw. Through his use of form, color and brushwork, Tim has honed his distinctive style to capture the expression and intricacies of various landscapes. “When painting outdoors, one can't help but experience the beauty of nature even in the most unexpected places – I try and capture this experience in my paintings.” Each of Tim's pieces reveal the spirit and mood of a place, from the richness and versatility of his coastline paintings to the reflective stillness of meandering waters of Tennessee. Through his paintings, Tim hopes to share with the viewer his aesthetic vision and appreciation of the land. Currently Tim works outdoors and in his studio located in Brentwood, Tennessee near Nashville.
