Biography
Tim Liddle was born and raised in Nashville, TN. A strong art student through his early years, he went on to graduate from Lipscomb University with Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, becoming proficient in oil and watercolors.
Philosophy
I want each of my pieces to reveal the spirit, emotions and mood of an individual setting. Through my paintings, my goal is to share with the viewer my aesthetic vision and appreciation of the beauty of landscapes, still lifes and figures.
Process
Through Tim’s use of form, color and brushwork, he has honed his distinctive style to capture the grace, expression and intricacies of the various places within his paintings. “I try and capture this experience in my paintings.”
Themes
Themes include landscapes, still life and portraits. I really enjoy painting in Plein Air, a French phrase meaning “in the open air”. My challenge is to create an impression of a scene, capturing the atmosphere, feeling and immediacy of the moment.
